Having a photo session with Maryam Thompson Photography was such a fantastic experience! To do this session was a pretty tough decision for me. I love photography, but really only from the back side of the camera, I am completely out of my element in front of it!
Maryam made the whole experience very comfortable for me. Her attention to detail was amazing. She was so patient and professional! She listened to what I wanted, was honest and respectful.
The turn around time was very quick for my photos to be ready. I was a little nervous because I never liked a photo of myself so I really didn't know what to expect when I went to pick them up. When I opened the box of photos, I saw me! They were so beautiful, I was so blown away, I cried!

She worked very hard at getting good photos for me and then getting them to me on time. Wow! The results far exceeded my expectations. I wish I looked as good in real life as I do in her photos! Getting new professional photos at Maryam Thompson Photography was a fantastic experience. Maryam begins with a pre-photo shoot consultation: a 30-45 minute meeting to plan the type of photos, where she will provide guidance on clothing, hair and makeup. During this consultation she is astutely assessing your photographic strengths and planning the positions that will be complementary. The day of the "shoot" was so much fun. I opted to have my hair and makeup done because of the dramatic improvements I noted on the "before and after" pictures on her website. Maryam has a gift for seeing potential and it is that gift that ensures that you will have many photos to choose from. Maryam is very patient during the photo shoot and encourages having several outfits. On the same day as the photo shoot, you sit down with her to select photos for her to process. Within the day or two, she has edited the photos (and they don't need much editing) and you then have a beautiful new set of photos. I am so excited to use these new pictures! If you are looking for natural, modern photos then you will enjoy working with Maryam!
